Television Network G4 Is Making A Comeback In 2021

This years Comic-Con at home event was unique and had tons of exciting news for gamers of all kinds but perhaps the most exciting news for some gamers was the video that aired hinting at the fact that the video game network G4 will be coming back in some form in 2021 sometime.

Before there were thousands of popular streamers and before people got most of their video game news from Youtube there was G4. It was every gamers favorite network at one point or another and when it was at it’s peak with shows like X-Play and Attack of the Show it was the best network around for anything video games and I’m looking forward to having it back in our lives in some shape or form.

G4 was the first place many of us ever saw Happy Tree Friends and it was also my first exposure to Olivia Munn…fucking gorgeous by the way but sorry off topic…there is no word yet exactly how the network will be coming back but logically to me it makes the most sense for them to start a Youtube channel with that having much less overhead than running a TV network. Anyways I’m not the only one excited for the return of G4, let’s take a look at what people are saying on Twitter.

Even IGN seems excited…wouldn’t they be competitors?

They were an influence on a whole generation of gamers.

Attack of the Show making it even more official than it already was.

Wonder if this means she’ll be back on there again.

It was very unique programming especially for it’s time.

Yea I kind of miss watching him and Morgan every evening, don’t miss Adam Sessler so much though…sorry bro. 😦

It really did help many people realize a career in gaming was obtainable.

Inspiration to a whole generation for sure.

History man..history.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited to see the return of G4?

What do you miss most about it?

Until Dawn An Honest And Overdue Review

I know, I know, I’m a bit late to the party with this one but I haven’t had a whole lot of time to game lately as my son is on summer vacation and I’m either outside with him or we’re inside and I let him have the PS4, so I decided I’d go back through my library of free games and just pick one I haven’t played yet.

The first thing I’ll say about Until Dawn is that it looks amazing, the characters are rendered ridiculously well and overall the game world looks pretty nice. The game reminds me a bit of those old “choose your own adventure” books but in video game format, a little bit like the Telltale games except your decisions actually carry a lot of weight in Until Dawn, In the Telltale games most decisions don’t really affect the outcome of the story so much in Until Dawn your choices can mean the difference between life and death for you. The butterfly effect feature is really interesting and makes you really think on your choices.

Featuring some great talent voicing the characters such as Rami Malek, Hayden Panetierre and Peter Stormare and the do the best acting you could in a 2015 video game, you can could only render so much emotion at the time but it’s done very well for the time. These actors help you to become attached to and sympathize with their characters and really helped to bring the game together.

One of the few problems I had with the game was the controls felt a bit clumsy, the quick time events worked well enough but walking around the game world wasn’t always as slick as it should have been, it’s a minor complaint though seeing the majority of the game is QTEs and choices being made. another thing that i noticed that isn’t so much a complaint but I just found it odd is that the actual gameplay parts of the game seemed better rendered than the cutscenes…perhaps the only game I’ve ever seen that in, I played it on PS4 so can’t speak for other platforms.

Overall the game was a good time and didn’t take a huge commitment of my time to play through plus once you beat it you can go back to any episode and make different choices to see how things would have gone.

Overall I give the game a 7 out of 10 and recommend checking it out if it’s on sale.

What are your thoughts? have you played it yet?

Did you like the game?

#XboxGamesShowcase Is Trending On Twitter And Here’s What People Are Getting Excited For

With the next generation of the console wars just around the corner fans are anxiously awaiting not just the release of the new consoles but news of what will be available on them. Microsoft held their Xbox Series X Games showcase recently and people are sharing on Twitter what they are most excited for in the next generation console.

Let’s take a look at what people on Twitter have to say about the showcase using the hashtag #XboxGamesShowcase.

Almost an hour long the official video had lots to share.

Not everyone is impressed but most everyone is excited for Halo.

Other people thought it was a huge success and that Microsoft will clearly win this console war.

The new Fable game was announced and teased and I’m one of many people super excited about it. Had so much fun with the Fable games back in the day.

some people are excited for the new game experiences such as Everwild

I mean you could just own both…right?

Most people agree that there is lots to get excited for by it was no means a perfect showcase.

So in other words, it wasn’t great but it wasn’t horrible either.

Really looking forward to the next Hellblade game as the first one touched on subjects most games don’t dare to and they did it very well.

This screenshot alone has me interested in this game.

Darktide is another one of the games really garnering some attention.

What are your thoughts? Was the showcase a success?

What are you most looking forward to or will you be skipping this console this next generation?
