This years Comic-Con at home event was unique and had tons of exciting news for gamers of all kinds but perhaps the most exciting news for some gamers was the video that aired hinting at the fact that the video game network G4 will be coming back in some form in 2021 sometime.
Before there were thousands of popular streamers and before people got most of their video game news from Youtube there was G4. It was every gamers favorite network at one point or another and when it was at it’s peak with shows like X-Play and Attack of the Show it was the best network around for anything video games and I’m looking forward to having it back in our lives in some shape or form.
G4 was the first place many of us ever saw Happy Tree Friends and it was also my first exposure to Olivia Munn…fucking gorgeous by the way but sorry off topic…there is no word yet exactly how the network will be coming back but logically to me it makes the most sense for them to start a Youtube channel with that having much less overhead than running a TV network. Anyways I’m not the only one excited for the return of G4, let’s take a look at what people are saying on Twitter.
Wait… is… is G4 coming back? 🤯 #IGNComicCon pic.twitter.com/OEmzFIVAcE

Even IGN seems excited…wouldn’t they be competitors?
This put tears in my eyes. #G4 was a massive influence on me and is the biggest influence behind my input to @peeridium. To say I can’t wait is an unparalleled understatement. #G4TV https://t.co/lUItskCODy

They were an influence on a whole generation of gamers.

Attack of the Show making it even more official than it already was.
Oh hey now… #G4 #G4TV https://t.co/WsXxEYOdBu pic.twitter.com/lxMN7EuF6k

Wonder if this means she’ll be back on there again.
Despite the hardships and limitations imposed on them X-Play and G4 produced smart gaming commentary that snuck in subversive leftist humor in reviews for long forgotten PSP games. You rarely if ever see that from any YouTube creator today.

It was very unique programming especially for it’s time.
Holy shit, looks like G4 is returning. I would very much like a new Kevin Pereira “Attack of the Show” show. https://t.co/7NhHlbEiDP

Yea I kind of miss watching him and Morgan every evening, don’t miss Adam Sessler so much though…sorry bro. 😦
while videogames themselves sparked my passion for the medium, G4 was the channel that drew me to the industry and creation of games

The idea of being able to work on games and be part of the community felt more possible than ever
I’m beyond psyched for this return https://t.co/fFv4s9R7CI
It really did help many people realize a career in gaming was obtainable.
Looks like G4 and Attack of the Show is coming back next year. It’s a different era so it is going to be interesting to see what they change and what they update.

This was the show that many Youtubers watched (including myself) and wondered if they can create content like that. https://t.co/jzKZlvjBDp
Inspiration to a whole generation for sure.
If you’re not familiar with G4, this is a good little documentary of how the network started and how it failed.https://t.co/9MvI72x9yR
