The Watcher Netflix Series Review (Spoilers)

The Netflix series came out a little while ago but it took me a while to get around to it The Watcher is listed as a mystery horror movie but I think I’d categorize it as a mystery suspense movie, starring Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale the series revolves around a family that moves in to a new home and then starts getting creepy letters telling them they’re being watched, I’m pretty sure it’s based on a real case but is changed to make it more TV worthy.

I would describe the series as a mix between The Burbs and the movie Clue with a zany cast of characters where almost anyone could be “The Watcher”…it has you thinking you know who it is from pretty much the start but then constantly has you changing your mind back and forth and that part of it was pretty well done but it can be a bit slow at times and there are some things that don’t make sense…like why not install a security camera pointed at the mailbox where the letters are being left or why when The Watcher rings the doorbell and then takes off before they answer the door did their doorbell camera not get checked?

Over all it was alright, I’d give it a 6 out of 10 and if you have nothing else to watch then why not right? it ends the season without ever revealing who The Watcher really was which both annoys me and is appreciated by me…it leaves you able to imagine your own scenario of who it is but I’m not sure if there is going to be a second season so I do understand why they left it off in a way that there could be…I’m not exactly excited waiting for a second season but I’ll watch it if it comes out because now I kind of want to know who The Watcher really is…like I said it was okay but not the best Netflix has ever released that’s for sure…and as you can tell by the photo above there are so many shows and movies with this same name it was actually near impossible to find a picture for this article.
