Top 22 Films Featuring Johnny Depp

Born as Johnny Christopher Depp II on June 9, 1963 in Owensboro, Kentucky Johnny Depp would go on to have an extremely successful career in film and early on in his career he found success in television as well, starring in the TV series 21 Jump Street. Since he is trending on social media today for his production of a new musical all about Michael Jackson’s glove titled For The Love of a Glove I thought it a great time to go over his long and illustrious career in movies. As usual sequels will be included in with the original so the list doesn’t repeat too much.

A Nightmare on Elm Street

Released in 1984 and directed by Wes Craven the horror movie A Nightmare on Elm Street was both the beginning of a great career for Johnny Depp and the first film in one of the most famous horror franchises of all time. The film had Johnny Depp in the role of one of many teenagers battling the dream demon Freddy Krueger. The film only grossed $25 million worldwide but considering it was made on a $1.8 million budget I’d call that a huge success. The movie spawned many sequels and even had a remake released in 2010.
