It seems like Disney and Marvel always have something either just released or about to release and with a possible May 2022 release the Secret Invasion series has been building hype lately…As usual with MCU projects not all that much is confirmed about the show but recent set photos give fans a chance to theorize and guess at some details about the show…the main ones being which actor is playing who and will the series resemble the comic book storyline at all…let’s take a look at some of the photos released recently.

Lots of people have lots of guesses as to who Emilia Clarke is portraying with tops guesses being either Abigail Brand or Jessica Drew…Abigail Brand is mostly known for her leadership role in S.W.O.R.D. which for anyone not in the know is basically the space version of S.H.I.E.L.D. and it makes a lot of sense to introduce her seeing the last place we saw Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury was aboard a space station…The other top guess is Jessica Drew A.K.A. Spider-Woman, this would also make a lot of sense since she played such a big part in the Secret Invasion storyline in the comics but as we all know by now the MCU doesn’t always follow along with the comics.

Also spotted in the new set photos was Cobie Smulders so seems like a safe assumption that we’ll be seeing the return of Maria Hill, Nick Fury’s right hand woman but what we don’t know for sure is if it will actually be her or the Skrull version of her we’ve seen in the MCU already…or maybe we’ll get both.

And of course what’s a Marvel movie without Samuel L. Jackson playing Nick Fury…once again not sure if we get the real Nick Fury, the Skrull version or both…I think Talos the Skrull that disguised himself as Nick Fury as a big part to play in this show as himself but we’ll see I guess. We do get a bearded Nick Fury this time around which is … different.

Ben Mendelsohn was also spotted arriving on set to reprise his role as Talos the Skrull…as I mentioned above he probably has a pretty big role to play in this series…with the series set to finish filming anytime now every one is wondering when they’ll get to watch the show and from what I can gather rumors are it might be released as soon as May 2022 on Disney Plus…speaking of rumors it was said a while back that we might end up seeing Chloe Bennet in the MCU and there are plenty of people holding out hope this series might be when we get to see her…for anyone that doesn’t know she played Quake in the Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series and was honestly IMO the best part of the show and although there weren’t any set photos of her I’m holding out hope and I’m not the only one it seems…
