For decades now Sports Illustrated has featured the top names in the modeling industry in their Swimsuit Editions each year, today they would make history featuring the first ever Transgender swimsuit model Valentina Sampaio in this years edition causing quite the stir on the internet.
Valentina Sampaio is a Brazilian born model who has been very outspoken about her support of the Brazilian Trans community and her desire to help educate people on the issues that LGBTQIA people face in her country.
The response online has been mostly positive but as with anything these days not everyone is in agreement, I for one support representing LGBTQIA people like this but thought I’d share some tweets from both sides of fence on this one just to shed light into how the other side thinks as well.
